22nd & 23rd September 2018

about-header

We look forward to welcoming you to the 32Red Newmarket Open Weekend on Saturday 22 and Sunday 23 September 2018.  The Open Weekend gives visitors the unique opportunity to go behind the scenes at British horseracing’s HQ, enjoy two fantastic days of fun and entertainment, and raise money for local charities.

2018 will see the return of racing on Saturday afternoon at the Rowley Mile racecourse after a one-year break.  Racing is always a highlight of the weekend with several trainers bravely volunteering to step up to the microphone and take part in the annual NOW racing commentary challenge.

Over the course of the weekend many of the town’s most dedicated equine sites will also open their doors, including; Newmarket’s two leading veterinary hospitals, the National Heritage Centre, the British Racing School, Tattersalls, and the Jockey Club Rooms.

Sunday morning action will once again kick off on the iconic Tattersalls sponsored Warren Hill gallops, followed by a number of Newmarket’s top trainers opening their yards to the public.  The popular Clipper Logistics racing personality show jumping competition will take centre stage for the afternoon’s entertainment on the Severals, alongside the Newmarket Stable Staff vs Jockeys & Trainers Football match, and much more.

Please note that we do offer a complimentary shuttle bus service on Sunday only for all NOW visitors from the Severals car park and that the Food & Drink Festival will take place the weekend before – Saturday 15 and Sunday 16 September.

Visit our gallery page to see pictures and videos from 2017 and get a taste of the action! Any queries please feel free to get in touch with our team. We hope to see you here.
